As a coal miner's daughter from Frostburg, MD, my love for teaching and volunteering has taken me far from home. I am a Professor of English, a technical writer, a UX Research Writer, a volunteer grant writer and a NASA Fellow. I'd like to collaborate with you to bring my students more opportunities to work with real-world projects as professional writing interns.
I can connect you and your company with experienced, talented professional writers for full-time work as technical writers, grant writers, and professional web-intensive writers and editors. Our UNA Professional Writers intern for NASA and many other great companies. Call me if you have an idea for an internship.
As the former Program Coordinator for the MA in Writing at UNA (2016-2022), please reach out to talk to me about our 100% online MA Writing program. I am also the UNA Coordinator for Preparing Future Faculty. If you want to teach at the college level, please reach out.
TESTIMONIAL

FAVORITE Teaching QUOTE
"Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be. As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks — we will also find our path of authentic service in the world."
-Parker J. Palmer
From connecting my students with top notch professional writing internships to volunteering as a grant writer for Every Child Counts in Abaco, Bahamas, be sure to check out my projects.
